Job summary

Kam Wai Legacy in Vancouver, Canada, is seeking a dedicated Night Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. The shift runs 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM two days per week, after our retail store closes, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation across production kitchen, dining area, retail and common spaces.

Ideal candidates have cleaning experience and a high attention to detail. English is required, Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset. Benefits include a store discount.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Overview
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. The night cleaner position will be twice a week, cleaning our facility to help us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation. The ideal candidates will have cleaning experience and a high attention to detail. Shift will be 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM after our retail store has closed for the day.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including production kitchen, dining area, retail, common areas, and bathrooms.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure surfaces are sanitized and spotless
• Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks such as trash removal, floor polishing, and restocking supplies
• Follow safety protocols to handle cleaning chemicals properly and prevent accidentscompliance with specifications.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the facilities management team
• Ensure all cleaning procedures meet health and safety standards to promote a hygienic environment
• Maintain detailed logs of completed cleaning activities and inspections
• Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift equipment or supplies as needed
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
• Basic understanding of safety procedures surrounding food and food manufacturing facilities.
