Job Overview
As Night Audit Manager, you’ll supervise and manage guest service and night audit operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and hotel profitability. You’ll oversee critical financial processes, ensure compliance with policies, and act as the point of contact during overnight hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Audit and balance daily room, food and beverage, and telephone revenues.
- Prepare and review variance, market segmentation, and other accounting reports.
- Supervise overnight operations, including guest services, reservations, and security.
- Ensure staff have proper training, tools, and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Resolve discrepancies, handle cash floats, and make cash deposits.
- Act as the system liaison during overnight hours and address any system failures.
- Perform duty management tasks, ensuring hotel policies and guest satisfaction standards are upheld.
- Handle guest service responsibilities, including reservations and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Experience: Customer service experience essential; previous hospitality experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, basic math, and computer skills. Familiarity with Opera or similar hotel systems is an asset.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, move around public areas, and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Schedule: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
