Job summary

Canopy is seeking a Next Gen Investment Specialist in Canada to help mobilize capital for regional supply-chain transitions in the pulp, textile, and circular materials sectors. You will combine rigorous research with strategic analysis to advance investment opportunities and close knowledge gaps.

Working with the Senior Director of Next Gen Transformation, you will develop strategy, assess projects, and support partnerships across North America and beyond, driving progress toward Canopy’s

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in investment or market analysis, project finance, corporate development, or related field.
• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or commodities sectors is helpful.
• Strong analytical judgement and ability to test claims with evidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate Canopy’s Next Gen investment strategy.
• Expand Canopy’s investor network and support priority partnerships.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of Next Gen producers and projects across regions.
• Assess feedstock security, technology readiness, market demand, and capital needs.
• Identify what projects need to advance and how Canopy can help (financing, policy, partnerships).
• Review financial and techno-economic assumptions; prepare projects for engagement with funders.
• Prepare briefings and materials for interactions with producers, brands, and investors.
• Support regional market analysis and connect project findings to wider North American and global patterns.
