North Burnaby family is seeking a calm, organized household manager to take ownership of weekday afternoons, approx. 1:00–5:00 p.m., 8 hours weekly with potential for extras. The role includes meal prep, laundry, light cleaning, errands, and coordinating with two children aged 14 and 11 who are largely self-sufficient.

Peanut/tree-nut allergy safety is mandatory; Epipen training will be provided if needed. Driver’s license and own car are a bonus but not required.

Wednesdays and Thursdays, approximately 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. | 8 guaranteed hours per week | Every other Friday hours available | Long-term position | Start immediatelyWe are a family in North Burnaby, near Kensington and Halifax, looking for an organised, capable household manager who can take ownership of our home for 2-3 afternoons a week and also handle the after-school stretch.Our children are 14 and 11 and are largely self-sufficient. They do not need entertaining. After they arrive from school, they need something good to eat, and someone calm and reliable in the house while they get on with homework and prepare for piano, dance or soccer.The household side is an important part of the role. Depending on what needs attention that day, this could include meal preparation, laundry and changing beds, keeping the kitchen and main living spaces in order, household cleaning, loading or unloading the dishwasher, groceries and errands, watering plants and the garden, receiving deliveries, and noticing when household staples need replacing.If you genuinely enjoy cooking and are confident preparing healthy family meals, then this is the job for you!Our 14-year-old is anaphylactic to peanuts and tree nuts. Strict avoidance in our kitchen is non-negotiable. You must also be comfortable carrying and, if ever necessary, using an EpiPen. We will provide training and make sure you feel confident.A bonus would be if you had a valid driver’s licence and your own reliable car as you could do school pick ups and grocery pick ups, but it isn't mandatory.Pay will depend on experience.I work from home and will usually be here, but I spend much of the afternoon in meetings.
