Job summary

Need a Nanny in Vancouver, BC seeks a part-time housekeeper with backup childcare duties for an 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy. The role covers cleaning, cooking, laundry, ironing, and occasional school runs. The schedule is 10:00–2:30 on Mon, Wed, Thu with some flexibility for holidays; driving is a plus and a car may be provided by the family.

Start ASAP and sustain for at least 6 months. Candidates should live nearby and communicate clearly by text or notes.

Qualifications

• Experience in household cleaning and meal preparation.
• Ability to provide backup childcare for two children.
• Good communication via text or notes to coordinate tasks.
• Driver's license preferred, reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Clean the inside of the home and immediate exterior areas.
• Kitchen cleaning: dishes, fridge, cupboards, oven, pantry, counters, floors.
• Laundry and ironing of clothing and household items.
• Meal preparation and service for the family.
• Grocery shopping and errands as needed.
• Provide backup childcare during school holidays or sick days.

The ideal candidate lives nearby and is able to start at 8:00 occasionally to walk our children to school. Candidate MUST be able to accommodate the proposed schedule for at least 6 months.Communication skills must be excellent, as we will have limited in-person interactions and need to provide directions and feedback to each other and our primary nanny via text message or written notes.
