Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee the regional mental health program at Kirkwood Place, including Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge, and Wordplay Jeux de mots. The role leads day-to-day operations and drives program development across the Mental Health & Addictions Services portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a health-related bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree is an asset, and must hold active registration with a regulatory college.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with health specialization from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in business or health discipline is an asset.
• Current certificate of registration in good standing with a regulatory college is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a health professional in a health care environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ working in a leadership/supervisory role, preferably in a health care environment.

Department: Mental Health and Addictions Services

The Clinical Manager reports to the Director, Mental Health and supports the Mental Health & Addictions Services portfolio. The Manager is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the regional mental health program at Kirkwood Place (Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge), and Wordplay Jeux de mots. The Manager provides organizational and system leadership for the overall coordination and program development for these services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization within a health-related field from an accredited university
• Master’s degree in business or a health-related discipline is and asset
• Current certificate of registration in good standing with an applicable regulatory college is required
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as a health professional in a health care environment
• Minimum of two (2) years’ working in a leadership/supervisory role, preferably in a health care environment

• Understanding of multiple regulated health professions and associated Acts
• Familiarity with collective agreements, scheduling
• Demonstrated time management, prioritization and organizational skills
• Able to utilize a trauma informed approach in all interactions
• Must demonstrate good attendance
• Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events and promotion of quality in our organization
• Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset.
