The Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy and the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary invite applications for a Canada Research Chair Tier 1 in Neuromorphic Computing Systems at the Associate Professor with Tenure or Professor with Tenure level. The Chair will support 75% protected time for research and lead cutting-edge work in biologically inspired hardware, software and algorithms.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required; post-PhD research experience expected.
• Recognized leadership with an established research program in neuromorphic systems.
• Collaborative and interdisciplinary research with strengths in computational neuroscience and neuromorphic computing.

• Lead a high-impact, externally funded research program.
• Foster collaboration across neuroscience, physics and engineering.
• Contribute to teaching and trainee mentorship at the University level.
