Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, patient-centred care in neuro-interventional radiology at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will work within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team across acute and interventional services.

This permanent, full-time role includes shift patterns and opportunities for professional development and training. Sponsorship eligibility is assessed per Home Office requirements.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient‑centred care.
  • Willingness to develop specialist knowledge and skills within Neuro‑interventional Radiology.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Previous experience in acute care, critical care, theatres, recovery, or interventional services is desirable but not essential.
  • Full training and support provided, including a structured orientation programme and ongoing support from experienced clinical staff and educators.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and specialist training.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care throughout the patient pathway.
  • Provide safe, effective, and patient‑centred care during neuro‑interventional radiology procedures.
  • Support patients with complex neurological and neurovascular conditions.
  • Work closely with radiologists, anaesthetists, nurses, radiographers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical practice.
  • Contribute to the delivery of thrombectomy services across the West of Scotland.
