The role is highly hands-on and spans enterprise and carrier-grade network infrastructure, including Fortinet switches, FortiGate firewalls, Ciena routers, IP/MPLS transport, monitoring platforms, and the network services that support RF, virtualization, systems, and engineering test environments.

What you'll do
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet switches, FortiGate firewalls, Ciena routers, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing environments.
  • Deploy and support IP/MPLS connectivity for engineering test beds, virtual machines, RF systems, demonstrations, and customer or vendor testing activities.

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet switching, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, routing protocols, firewalls, DHCP, IP addressing, and network security practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot multi-layer network issues and drive incidents through root-cause analysis, resolution, and documentation.
  • Experience with command-line tools, packet analysis, logs, monitoring and visualization platforms, and configuration or recovery procedures.
  • Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) registration and Reliability Status clearance must be in place by the first day of the engagement.
