About the Job – Network Security Engineer

Operating within Platform Technology of Platform Services, you will monitor and maintain a secure network environment, working closely with Data & Tech and Cybersecurity teams. Reporting to the Network Security Domain Lead, you will configure systems, ensure security, and drive improvements.

Our Network Security team focuses on managing networks, firewalls, and application delivery controllers, with an expanding remit including WAAP, SASE, and PKI, aiming for automation and efficiency.

What are we looking for?

We seek individuals experienced in:

  • Network security and building secure environments
  • L4 / L7 Firewalling (e.g., Palo Alto, F5 Big-IP)
  • WAAP technologies (e.g., F5 Distributed Cloud, Akamai, Cloudflare)
  • Secure Access Service Edge (preferably Netskope)
  • PKI and PKI platforms
  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Git, Ansible, Python, Azure DevOps)
  • Cybersecurity concepts and frameworks
  • Experience in an Agile environment

Additionally, you will:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Prove a track record of solving complex problems
  • Stay current with relevant technologies
  • Create documentation such as diagrams, processes, and procedures
  • Communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Champion best practices and innovate using technology

Responsibilities

  • Configure network security applications to meet business goals
  • Monitor and manage lifecycle of security applications
  • Participate in incident and problem management
  • Develop scalable, secure solutions
  • Ensure security is central to all solutions
  • Collaborate to understand business goals and contribute to roadmaps
  • Support project leads and engage in governance
  • Produce detailed documentation and designs
  • Provide technical guidance and support
  • Maintain compliance with standards and practices
