Alberta is seeking a web technician/network administrator to coordinate network access, install and maintain software and web servers, and supervise technical staff. The role involves supporting LANs/WANs, monitoring systems, and upgrading hardware and software.

A basic security clearance and call-centre experience are noted expectations. The position is on-site in Canada with public transit available and a fast-paced environment.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate access and use of computer networks

• Install web server hardware and software
• Maintain, troubleshoot and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks and workstations
• Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks
• Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software
• Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and OS software
• Provide problem-solving services to network users
• Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
• Modify Web pages, applets and scripts
• Respond to requests for help from Website visitors and designers
• Supervise technical staff
