Job summary

The Legislative Assembly of Alberta is seeking a Team Lead of Network Operations to oversee the daily operations of the Network Operations unit, including both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Reporting to IT Operations, you will guide staff, assign workflows and provide technical expertise.

Flexibility for emergencies and on-call hours is required; this full-time role operates in a dynamic political environment and emphasizes secure design, documentation and client service.

Qualifications

• Related postsecondary degree and five years of progressive, senior network experience.
• Experience in supervision, mentoring and staff development.
• Expert knowledge of secure network and system design, implementation and documentation.
• CCNA certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Network Operations unit, on-premises and cloud infra.
• Provide guidance, assign workloads and offer technical expertise.
• Collaborate within IT Services to ensure efficient branch processes and policies.
• Lead change management and respond to emergencies with on-call hours.
