About the role

We are seeking a Network Management Engineer to join a large tech company, working on their IP/MPLS networks with a focus on automation and optimization. The role involves providing remote support to customers, helping them enhance their operational capabilities by leveraging cutting-edge network technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic network designs and migration plans for IP/MPLS networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot network management systems and IP/MPLS network devices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as Method of Procedures and Statements of Work, and provide customer training.
• Conduct audits and propose optimizations for network performance and security.
• Collaborate with internal product teams for feature enhancements.
• Provide remote and occasional after-hours support during critical network events.
• Build strong relationships with clients by offering consultative expertise.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in Canada and have the legal right to work there.
• At least 5 years of experience managing IP/MPLS networks (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, L2/L3 VPNs).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with network management systems and Linux administration (Red Hat/CentOS).
• 3 years of experience working with software in virtualized environments.
• Experience with network automation and OSS integration.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCIE, Nokia SRA, or Juniper JNCIE certification.
• Experience in scripting or developing automation tools using Python or similar languages.
• Knowledge of large-scale telecom service provider environments.
