Role overview

At Opti9, you will be part of a diverse Cloud Networking team working with physical and logical technologies in the Cloud provider space. You will handle customer-facing projects, pushing infrastructure to the next level, and working across multiple vendors for networking and security products supporting our cloud infrastructure. The role primarily involves deploying new customer solutions across our technologies.

Key skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for internal teams and customers.
  • Acting as Tier 3 support for Cloud Ops and NOC teams.
Responsibilities
  • Configure and support logical circuit connections (e.g., Megaport, PacketFabric, Azure ExpressRoute, AWS DirectConnect).
  • Manage data center and colocation connectivity.
  • Monitor networking/security platforms to ensure SLA adherence.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and modify NAT/firewall rules.
  • Lead customer-facing projects involving design, documentation, and implementation.
  • Deploy new customers with NSX, VMware Cloud Director, and security configurations.
  • Manage capacity and infrastructure for cloud technologies.
  • Maintain and improve SDWAN and VMware NSX infrastructure.
  • Document infrastructure and customer diagrams.
  • Design automation strategies using Python, Nautobot, Ansible, etc.
Technical qualifications
  • 6-10 years in infrastructure/network environments, LAN/WAN design and implementation.
  • Experience with Cisco/Arista routing, switching, and firewalls (IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NX-OS).
  • Proficiency in Python, Ansible, automation tools.
  • Experience with data center deployments, VMware vSphere, NSX.
  • Knowledge of IP technologies, WAN (MPLS, SD-WAN, DWDM), routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
  • Familiarity with security technologies (IPSec, SSL, HSRP, VRRP).
  • Monitoring platforms (Netmon, Solarwinds, Icinga).
  • SASE platforms, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls.
General skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective documentation and diagramming skills.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices.
