Job summary

Corus Entertainment is seeking a Full-Time Network Analyst to join our technology team in Toronto. You will contribute by maintaining 24/7 LAN/WAN support and ensuring high availability across the Corus network.

Responsibilities include deploying and updating Cisco Nexus and Catalyst hardware, monitoring performance, and supporting remote sites. A CCNA/CCNP or higher certification and 5 years of enterprise Cisco experience are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in IT, CS, Network Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience supporting a Cisco enterprise class network.
• 5 years of experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst hardware.
• 5 years of experience with wireless technologies.
• CCNA/CCNP or higher certification is required.

• Assist remote site engineers with remote site configurations and deployments.
• Troubleshooting network problems and changes through change management.

• Maintain security systems, including firewalls, routers, switches etc.
• Create and maintain procedural documentation.
• Maintain hardware database for network inventory and perform OS upgrades.
• On-call time 24x7 availability via cell phone as needed.

About the role:

Corus Entertainment is looking for a Full-Time Network Analyst to join our technology team in our Toronto office. This role reports into the Director, IT Infrastructure.

You will contribute by:

• Maintaining 24/7 support and resolution of network problems on the LAN/WAN. Ensure high availability on all aspects of the Corus local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN), including remote site infrastructure network hardware
• Assist remote site engineers with remote site configurations and deployments.
• Troubleshooting network problems and implementing any new changes in the infrastructure through organizational change management process.
• Deploying, configuring, and updating Cisco Nexus and Catalyst hardware.
• Monitor network performance, analyze data flow to identify issues and make recommendations and resolve
• Maintain security systems, including firewalls, routers, switches etc.
• Create and maintain procedural documentation
• Maintain hardware database for network inventory and perform OS and hardware upgrades of the network devices to keep them current with the industry standards
• On-call time 24x7 availability via cell phone as needed.

Skills and experience you will bring:

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience supporting a Cisco enterprise class network
• 5 years of experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst hardware.
• 5 years of experience with wireless technologies.
• Expertise in Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches, Cisco ASR and ISR routers, F5, Cisco wireless controller, ASA, Cisco ISE, Fortinet firewall, Cisco Firepower
• Advanced knowledge of VLAN, VTP, stacking HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, Trunking, ether-channel, STP (all flavours), SPAN, RSPAN, IPv4/6, VSS, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, Multicasting, QOS, VPN (AnyConnect & Site to site), MPLS, ACLS, AAA, layer2 security, NAT, Nexus VPC.
• Advanced knowledge of wireless technology, network management and analysis tools eg OpManager, Cisco Prime, ISE, Wireshark
• Cisco certification is required (CCNA, CCNP & etc.)
• Good understanding of MS Active Directory, O365, WINS, DHCP, VMWARE and DNS is an asset
• Good understanding of SD-WAN, VMware NSX and Distributed Firewall is an asset
