Job summary

VisionpoolBusiness Services is hiring a Network Analyst who will be instrumental in the operational administration and implementation of the LAN/WAN infrastructure, vital for supporting corporate and SCADA networks. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS LOCATED 100% ONSITE IN REGINA, SK.

Typical activities include administering the network, planning device evolution, and providing expert support for SaskEnergy devices, with emphasis on high availability, security, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on network administration, analysis and design/architecture.
• Experience with VXLAN/BGP EVPN in spine-leaf data center topologies.
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE and NX-OS across multiple platforms.
• Experience with Fortinet security devices and management tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document the enterprise network to ensure continuous operation.
• Develop strategic plans for network device evolution aligned with business needs.
• Provide expert-level support and engineering for SaskEnergy network devices.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot network performance for high availability.
• Manage disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Collaborate with corporate and field teams to address technology concerns.

• Develop strategic plans for network device evolution, aligning with both current and future business needs and industry benchmarks,
• Provide expert-level technical support, administration, and engineering for allSaskEnergynetwork devices to guarantee theiroptimalperformance,
• Monitor and optimize network performance, swiftly troubleshoot and resolve any system issues to ensure high availability and reliability,
• Manage network disaster recovery processes, including meticulous planning, implementation, maintenance, and comprehensive testing,
• Engage with corporate and field employees, promptly addressing technology concerns and escalating complex issues as needed,
• Implement network equipment updatesin accordance withestablished company protocols to ensure ongoing security and functionality,
• Maintainsystem integrity through effective change control, problem management procedures, and consistent communication with internal stakeholders
• Stay abreast ofthe latestnetworking technologies, certifications, and industry developments tomaintaina high levelofexpertiseand adaptability,

Qualifications:

• Minimum5years of recent, hands-on experience in network administration, analysis, and design/architecture
• DemonstratedexpertiseSpine and Leaf data center networks utilizing VXLAN with BGP EVPN,
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing andmaintainvarious routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and OSPF,
• Comprehensive hands-on experience with Cisco's suite of networking equipment, including switches and routers,Proficiencyextends to working with various Cisco CLI interfaces, encompassing IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS, ensuring comprehensive configuration and administration across multiple Cisco platforms.
• Comprehensive hands-on experience with Fortinet’s suite of networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, and access points,
• Comprehensive hands-on experience with Fortinet security tools includingFortiManager,FortiAnalyzer, andFortiNAC
• Demonstrated experience in configuring andmaintainingnetwork resources in Microsoft Azure including virtual networks, virtual network peering, route tables, Front Door,WAFand network security groups.
• Additionalexpertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI),
• Skilled in the configuration and management of load balancers and web application firewalls,
• A deep understanding and implementation of network security best practices,
• A proventrack recordin deploying network technologies within organizational technology projects,
• Excellent collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary project teams,
• A thorough understanding of enterprise-level networks and the integration of on-premises and cloud environments,
• Additionalexperience with LTE and satellite communication technologies,
• Experience with ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes,
• Relevant experience in operating supervisory controls and data acquisition (SCADA) networks.
• Relevant job experience in North America with a provincial government, Crown or Oil & Gas Transmission company, or equivalent
