Network Administrator – (Microsoft Focus)

Location: Ontario-based, working EST hours

About The Role

The O365 Administrator will be a hands-on member of the Information Technology team responsible for supporting and managing the Microsoft 365 platform. This includes implementing, monitoring, and consolidating our multi-domain footprint, which encompasses Office 365/Microsoft 365 security suite/Azure/Entra SSO/InTune, as well as managing workstation and server domain relationships. The administrator will also handle day-to-day operations of Office 365, such as user management, permissions, troubleshooting, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a plan to consolidate multiple Active Directory domains into a single domain footprint.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 security administration and reporting.
  • Perform application maintenance, including system parameters, user permissions, and group policies.
  • Provide system support to maintain uptime within IT standards.
  • Develop and update Microsoft 365 governance documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Microsoft application requests to meet business needs.
  • Support and administer Microsoft-based infrastructure and projects.
  • Provide IT leadership and consulting on Microsoft technologies, security, and best practices.
  • Plan and coordinate changes, upgrades, data migrations, or downtime, and communicate proactively within the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows System Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Administration
  • 3+ years managing Office 365 environments
  • Familiarity with security and compliance features in Office 365
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expert knowledge of networking and Active Directory in a multi-domain network
  • Microsoft 365 certifications are a plus
