The Network Administrator is responsible for the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures optimal network performance by planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems while enforcing cybersecurity best practices. - Install, configure, and maintain servers, network hardware, and software systems
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex system and network performance issues
- Perform and oversee regular software, firmware, and security updates to ensure system integrity
- Conduct scheduled backups and implement disaster recovery strategies and testing
- Apply and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols to safeguard systems and data from threats
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network architecture, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to plan, design, and implement new information systems and infrastructure projects
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring efficient operation of IT resources
- Contribute to the creation and enforcement of IT governance policies, standards, and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field of IT
Required Qualifications/Skills:- Post Secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
