Job summary

Compugen Inc in Delta, BC is seeking an experienced Server Administrator to support on‑premises server and storage environments, including NetApp, Windows Server, and VMware.

You will troubleshoot, patch, and maintain infrastructure, assist with migrations, and collaborate with global IT teams. Onsite work in Delta is expected, with a focus on reliability and security in a human-centered tech environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on server administration experience.
• NetApp on-premises storage setup, provisioning, ONTAP upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Windows Server 2016/2022 patching, updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• VMware/vSphere administration for enterprise virtual server environments.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, mount, cable, configure, and test NetApp storage hardware within on‑premises infrastructure environments.
• Administer and maintain NetApp storage systems, including storage provisioning, configuration, ONTAP upgrades, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support NetApp MetroCluster infrastructure, including implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Administer, maintain, and patch Windows Server 2016/2022 environments, ensuring system stability, security, and performance.
• Manage VMware/vSphere environments, including virtual machines, ESXi hosts, resource allocation, system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows infrastructure services.
• Perform server maintenance, operating system updates, security patching, and infrastructure health checks.
• Support data migration, legacy data cleanup, storage optimization, and system transition activities.
• Troubleshoot server, storage, virtualization, networking, and operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and SCCM administration and maintenance activities.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, system restoration, and business continuity processes.
• Assist with security administration, certificate management, access controls, and infrastructure compliance.
• Utilize PowerShell and other administrative tools to support system maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, hardware replacements, system migrations, and technology improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with local IT teams, international colleagues, and technical stakeholders to resolve issues and support ongoing operations.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support, technical documentation, and proactive infrastructure maintenance.
