Job summary

iA Financial Group is seeking a versatile Application Programmer Analyst (.NET) to join the Odyssey Train's Agent Compensation sector. You will work in an Agile team to design, develop, evolve, and support critical business solutions built on the Microsoft ecosystem.

You will collaborate with business analysts, architects, and developers to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing solutions, while contributing to code quality, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Holds a college diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of software development experience in a Microsoft environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and propose pragmatic solutions in a changing environment.
  • Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • High level of autonomy, accountability, and professional rigor.
  • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and integrating artificial intelligence into development practices.
  • Significant experience with C#, .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and modern software development practices.
  • Experience working in an Agile, SAFe environment.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize applications built on .NET technologies and SQL Server.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, developers, and business partners to understand business needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the team's technical direction and decision-making while adhering to development standards, best practices, and established guidelines.
  • Perform unit testing and actively contribute to quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Provide application support and resolve production incidents when required.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical and functional documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the quality, security, and sustainability of delivered solutions.

What Will Help You Succeed in This Role

We are looking for someone who:

Assets
  • Knowledge of Kafka.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Rancher.
  • Experience working in a mainframe environment (Easytrieve and COBOL).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of the FASAT system.
