Job summary

ISG Search Inc. seeks a .Net Application Developer for a 6-month hybrid contract in downtown Toronto. The role focuses on legacy application development and maintenance within the .NET ecosystem, including Windows Forms desktop apps, APIs, and data integrations.

You will analyze existing codebases, design components, and work with Windows Services, COM interop, and external systems. Experience with AWS/Azure DevOps CI/CD is required to ensure smooth deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing, maintaining and modernizing enterprise-grade .NET applications.
• Strong legacy application development and maintenance background.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot legacy .NET applications, including Windows Forms desktop applications.
• Analyse existing codebases to understand business logic and system integrations.
• Design and enhance components using C#, .NET, EF, ADO.NET, and SQL Server.
• Work with multithreading, asynchronous programming, data binding, reflection, and Windows UI components.
• Integrate applications with Windows Services, hardware peripherals, printers, serial devices, COM components, and external systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs, database integrations, and data-persistence solutions.
• Support deployments, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines using AWS and Azure DevOps.
• Apply design principles including DDD and CQRS to improve maintainability and performance.
