Job summary

Providence Health Care in Canada is seeking a Hemodialysis (HD) Nurse to join an interdisciplinary team delivering comprehensive patient care. You will assess physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs, develop and evaluate individualized care plans, and educate patients and families while supporting colleagues and upholding PHC’s mission and values.

We require that you be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing with eligibility for BC registration and either completed nephrology

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing.
• Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post-graduate nephrology nursing or 1 year of recent hemodialysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families as part of care plans.
• Make referrals to resources as needed.
• Support fellow healthcare professionals.
• Operate within Providence Health Care's mission, vision, and values.
• Hemodialysis RNs care for patients with kidney failure undergoing dialysis.
• Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout treatment.
• Conduct patient assessments and chart reviews; collaborate with peers.
