Job summary

UNC Health Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist II to join our pediatric therapy team in the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at NC Children’s Hospital. The role involves evidence-based evaluation, treatment, and caregiver education to support medically complex infants within a multidisciplinary care model.

Expect to collaborate with families, contribute to quality improvement, and provide clinical education for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina.
• Five years of experience as a licensed PT, including one year in a specialty field.

Responsibilities

• Provide NICU PT evaluation and intervention for infants.
• Develop and modify plans of care with expected outcomes.
• Support families with education to promote infant development.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary NICU team for coordinated care.
• Mentor staff and support onboarding and competency development.
• Contribute to specialty program development and quality improvement.
