Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC. The role involves providing specialised neonatal care within a client/family-centered model, complying with BCCNM standards and VCH values.

The successful candidate will have a BC RN license with CPR/NRP, neonatal certification, and at least two years of recent Level 2-3 neonatal experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved nursing program.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and current CPR - NRP required.
  • Completion of a post-basic neonatal program certificate/diploma and two (2) years’ recent related experience in a Level 2-3 neonatal Unit.
  • Basic computer literacy to operate a computerized patient care information system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide optimal neonatal care to patients and families using client/family centered care.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate leadership and ability to teach clients and families.
