Job summary

The City of Grande Prairie is looking for a dedicated Needle Mitigation Worker to join the Mobile Outreach Department. The role involves proactive needle sweeps, handling requests from businesses and residents regarding needle debris, and monitoring disposal bins across the community.

The position also covers other departmental duties as directed by the Mobile Outreach Manager or their designate. The standard workweek averages 25 hours, with schedule determined by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clear Criminal Record Check is required.
• Valid Alberta Driver's License – Class 5 with no more than 6 demerits, and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of computers and related applications is desirable.
