Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus and Terrace/Kitimat Hospital, invites applications for a Part-time College Professor(s) in the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program (NCBNP). The appointment will commence December 21, 2026 and end May 11, 2027 (subject to minimum enrolment).

Salary is CUPE Instructor Scale per section ($5,775.84 to $9,255.50 per section). We value inclusion, equity, accessibility, and interculturalism.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Current practicing license with CRNBC.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical practice experience and teaching experience.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered with education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the academic success of students in the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing program.
• Prepare courses, teach and guide students, provide feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction.
• Teach NURS 101: The Art and Science of Nursing with clinical and theory components; NURS 203: Introduction to Family Health; NURS 215: Care of the Adult.

Duties:

College Professors are responsible for contributing to the academic success of students in the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing program (NCBNP). This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction in the following courses:

NURS 101: The Art and Science of Nursing

• Clinical (2 groups, 0.39 section/group)
• Theory (1 section)

NURS 203: Introduction to Family Health

• Theory (1 section)

NURS 215: Care of the Adult

• Clinical (3.04 sections)

Note: Applicants must indicate which course(s) they are interested in teaching and may take 1 or both groups.

Qualifications

Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Nursing, a current practicing license with the Nursing regulator college (CRNBC), and current CPR certificate along with a minimum of 5 years clinical practice experience and teaching experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered with a combination of education and experience. Successful candidates will be adaptable, flexible and comfortable with change and have excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
