Job summary

3GA Marine Ltd. is a Canadian naval architecture and marine engineering firm with offices in Victoria and Burnaby. We seek Naval Architects to develop innovative designs and perform vessel surveys, backed by training in software, safety certifications, and 3D laser scanning.

You will work under senior staff to learn, grow, and deliver high-quality engineering work, with a focus on design and field surveys across diverse projects and vessel sizes.

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing and ability to produce clear specifications and reports.
• Familiarity with Rhino, ACAD and MS Office; Ship Constructor is a plus.
• Knowledge of hull, stability, and vessel structure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical activities on new vessel design or refit projects.
• Collaborate with senior staff and engineers across disciplines.
• Perform design, documentation, analysis, and modeling using appropriate software.
• Undertake on-site vessel surveys (condition surveys, lightship surveys, inclining experiments) including access to confined spaces and heights.
