Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Retail Outfitter to join a team that creates a world class shopping experience by delivering legendary customer service and deep product knowledge to every guest.

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the role involves assisting customers, promoting promotions, maintaining visual standards, resolving issues, and staying informed about outdoor trends to help customers choose the right gear.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Starting Pay Rate: $18.25 - $20.25
