Job summary

BGO, a global real estate investment management advisor, is seeking a National Maintenance Manager in Toronto. You will lead preventive and emergency maintenance across the portfolio and oversee mechanical systems while delivering top-tier resident service.

Hybrid role: 4 days in office with travel. You will manage contracts, sustainability efforts, and work with operations teams to ensure fiduciary and budget compliance.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in building operations including mechanical, fire and life safety, electrical and HVAC.
• Able to read and review construction drawings.
• Excellent communication in English and professional relationship skills.
• Willing to be available for after-hours callouts in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance for portfolio mechanical systems.
• Review and create maintenance schedules with site teams and contractors.
• Manage tendering, awarding and maintaining contracts (HVAC, snow removal, landscaping).
• Support sustainability efforts and energy benchmarking initiatives.
• Maintain high resident service levels and professional vendor relationships.

Education

High school diploma with post-secondary courses
