Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and disciplined National Account Manager to help grow our National Accounts portfolio across Canada. This position is designed for a business development professional who thrives on creating new opportunities, building relationships from the ground up, and developing strategic partnerships at a national level.

The successful candidate will focus primarily on new business development (approximately 80%), prospecting potential customers with national or multi-regional portfolios, and driving market expansion in key verticals. The remaining 20% of the role will involve managing a portfolio of existing accounts to gain exposure to client retention and account growth strategies.

This is a role that requires both strategic thinking and consistent execution. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and persistent — someone who takes initiative, follows through, and enjoys the challenge of opening new doors and developing long-term business relationships.

What you will be doing:

Business Development (80%)

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new national and multi-regional business opportunities across Canada.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers in property management, real estate, and corporate environments.
  • Develop and execute structured outreach plans — including cold calls, targeted networking, and follow-ups — to generate qualified leads.
  • Gather and maintain business intelligence, including portfolio information, contract details, and procurement timelines.
  • Partner with regional and branch leaders to coordinate proposals, pricing strategies, and responses to RFPs and tenders.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and professional associations to strengthen visibility and expand relationships.
  • Deliver presentations to customers and prospects that effectively position our solutions and value proposition.
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to CRM usage, accurately tracking all prospecting activity, pipeline progress, and outcomes.

Account Management (20%)

  • Manage a select group of existing national accounts
  • Support renewal discussions, performance reviews, and portfolio expansion initiatives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts through strategic upselling or service enhancement.

What do you bring:

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in business development, national sales, or account management.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business at a regional or national level.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and corporate procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to work with RFPs, tenders, and structured proposal submissions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with comfort engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined with CRM and pipeline management.
  • Active involvement in BOMA, ACMO, or other professional associations is an asset.
  • Self‑motivated, persistent, and able to work independently in a results‑oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
