Job description

In-Home Nanny needed for 2 children. $20.85 per hour for a 35 hour work week. Split shifts with the morning shift from 8:00 am to 11 am and the afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Overtime occasionally may be required and would be paid at 1.5 x per hour. Six months of relevant professional childcare experience required. Job located in Thornhill, ON (Bathurst & Clark). English language spoken and written, required. Work to take place in the employer's home. Public transportation is available. This is a permanent employment position.

Duties: supervise & care for children in employer's residence. Plan, prepare & serve meals for children, perform light housekeeping duties. Oversee children's activities, as instructed by the employer. Maintain a safe & healthy environment in the home. Instruct children in personal hygiene. Tend to the emotional well-being of children & support their social development. Discipline children according to methods requested by the parents. Organize & participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading & outings. Communication and decision making skills are key. Attention to detail is needed.
