RBC is seeking a dedicated individual for the transfer agent role to process unit holder transactions and provide support. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, documenting procedures, and helping with account inquiries in a dynamic team environment. What is the opportunity?
Working for the transfer agent you will be processing all unit holder transactions for both registered and non-registered products. Your responsibilities also include responding to account inquiries on a timely basis, identifying and resolving issues/and problems, and providing administrative support for internal advisory channels. As part of this dynamic team, you will also be expected to master various specialist roles as part of their progression through the various roles in the department. What will you do?
Process all Mutual Fund Transactions for individual, accredited and institutional investors
Verify that all proper paperwork is received and complete; also ensure that appropriate follow-up takes place for any outstanding issues
Ensure that all compliance and procedures are accurate
Document and update procedure manuals and workbooks where required
Represent the team in various working groups
Act a strong resource and support for Staff Members
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Post-Secondary Education
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Advanced Excel
Working knowledge of PowerPoint and the Internet
Strong analytical and communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience processing financial transactions, performing quality assurance checks and being able to interpret complex instructions.
Experience processing corporate, institutional and trust accounts, RRSP, RESP, RRIF and TFSA products within a back office environment
IFIC or CSC
Experience in dealing with external dealers, custodians, fund companies and various government bodies
Experience with Unitrax, Fundserv or Dataphile

The expected salary range for the above position is $50,000 - $55,000, depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
