Music of Deal Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Music Theory Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching RCM Levels 5–8 Music Theory, Level 9 Harmony, Level 10 Harmony & Counterpoint, and Level 9 / 10 Music History. This is an exciting opportunity to work with highly motivated students preparing for RCM exams, auditions, and academic enrichment.

Responsibilities :

• Teach private or small group lessons in Music Theory, Harmony, Counterpoint, and Music History based on the given curriculum
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to students’ learning styles
• Prepare students for theory examinations and academic advancement
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the school director
• Maintain a professional, inspiring, and nurturing classroom environment

Qualifications & Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music or a related discipline (RCM Teacher certification is an asset)
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in a studio or academic setting
• Fluent English communication skills (oral and written), bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset
• Strong knowledge of RCM theory curriculum (Levels 5–10)
• Knowledge or experience in music production is a strong asset
• Passion for music education and working with youth
• Responsible, punctual, and professional demeanour
