Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Music Marketing Manager to join our project management team. This role oversees the release lifecycle for a roster of artists—from planning, creative marketing ideation, and budget allocation to execution, monitoring, and reporting. The individual will be responsible for managing all details related to each release and will collaborate with internal teams (Digital Marketing, Streaming & Radio, Design, etc.) to create promotional strategies aligned with artists' visions. Strong communication skills and a track record of success in project management are essential. Candidates should be passionate about electronic music.

This is a full-time, remote, 12-month contract position to cover a team member’s maternity/parental leave.

Responsibilities

  1. Product Coordination & Strategy
  • Develop marketing campaigns for singles, EPs, and LPs aligned with strategic goals
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure cohesion across upcoming releases
  • Ensure all public-facing assets are consistent with Monstercat’s brand identity
  • Marketing Planning
    • Manage project budgets and media mix recommendations
    • Distribute release notes, collateral, and timelines
    • Ensure timely delivery of assets and information
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Monitor release performance using DSP data and analytics tools
    • Assess growth and engagement of artist channels to inform future strategies
    • Conduct competitor analysis and share trends and opportunities with the team
  • Relationship Management
    • Maintain strong relationships with artists, management, and partners
    • Serve as the primary contact for artists and teams, providing updates and support
    • Promote a positive working environment
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years in project management, marketing, artist management, or related field
    • Strong project management and prioritization skills
    • Experience managing budgets and ensuring timely asset delivery
    • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills
    • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Project Management, or Marketing/Communications (preferred)
    • Passion for music; experience in electronic music is a strong plus
    • Must have an active passport for occasional travel

    Pay Scale

    • $55,000 - 65,000 CAD per year
