Job summary

The District Municipality of Muskoka currently seeks a Project Manager, Engineering and Public Works to lead municipal infrastructure projects. You will manage planning through to construction, coordinating staff, consultants, and contractors to deliver on time and within budget.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree with PM experience; PMP or engineering designations are assets. This permanent full-time role offers growth and a competitive total compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PMP designation would be an asset.
• Engineering certification/ designation (P.Eng, C.Tech., C.E.T, SWANA, etc.) would be an asset.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a related discipline, incl. 2 years’ PM experience.
• Proven ability to lead major projects from concept to completion using PM techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of municipal infrastructure projects from planning and design through to construction and closeout.
• Provide supervision and leadership to assigned staff with direct reports.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Manage all aspects of projects to stay on time, in budget, and within scope.
• Develop project plans including scope, risks, roles, and debriefs.
• Review engineering designs and prepare procurement documentation and contract negotiations.
