AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking a Municipal Engineer to lead civil and utility design across Western Canada. You will guide projects from concept to construction, preparing plans, calculations, and contract deliverables while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

You will bring a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and a P.Eng. license with 7+ years in municipal infrastructure design, including strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Licensed BC Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
• 7+ years of civil engineering experience with municipal infrastructure focus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of municipal design standards and BC approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and utility design projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare calculations, plans, profiles, cross-sections, presentations, and contract packages.
• Manage design packages ensuring compliance with standards, budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, authorities, and stakeholders, providing technical leadership.

Job Description Overview

Join AtkinsRéalis as a Municipal Engineer and play a key role in delivering municipal infrastructure and utility projects across Western Canada. As part of our Municipal Infrastructure Group within the Engineering, Design and Project Management Division, you will lead civil and utility design activities from concept development through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. Your role Lead the delivery of civil and utility design projects from concept development through detailed design and construction. Prepare engineering calculations, plans, profiles, cross-sections, presentations, and contract package deliverables. Manage design packages while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, authorities, and stakeholders to support successful project execution. Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, engineering interns, and CAD technicians.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution and Licensed BC Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). 7+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on municipal infrastructure and utility design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project, with the ability to manage complex design deliverables. Strong understanding of municipal design standards, construction specifications, regulations, and approval processes in British Columbia. Valid Driver’s License is required.

Expected compensation for this role is between $75,600 and $104,000. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
