AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Municipal Engineer to lead civil and utility design for Western Canada. You will guide projects from concept through construction, preparing calculations, plans, and contract deliverables while ensuring standards, budgets, and schedules are met.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and authorities, providing technical leadership to engineers and CAD technicians in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and P.Eng. license in BC.
• 7+ years of civil engineering experience focused on municipal infrastructure and utility design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of BC municipal design standards, construction specifications, regulations, and approval processes.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Overview

Join AtkinsRéalis as a Municipal Engineer and play a key role in delivering municipal infrastructure and utility projects across Western Canada. As part of our Municipal Infrastructure Group within the Engineering, Design and Project Management Division, you will lead civil and utility design activities from concept development through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Your role

• Lead the delivery of civil and utility design projects from concept development through detailed design and construction.


• Prepare engineering calculations, plans, profiles, cross-sections, presentations, and contract package deliverables.


• Manage design packages while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution and Licensed BC Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).


• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on municipal infrastructure and utility design.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project, with the ability to manage complex design deliverables.


• Strong understanding of municipal design standards, construction specifications, regulations, and approval processes in British Columbia.


• Valid Driver's License is required.

Expected compensation for this role is between $75,600 and $104,000. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
