Job summary

The City of Brampton is hiring an Enforcement Officer within By-Law Enforcement, based at Flower City Community Campus. You will enforce Municipal, Planning and Heritage Act by-laws, conduct investigations, collect evidence, and testify in court as required.

You will respond to community concerns, participate in education and enforcement initiatives, liaise with schools, businesses and residents, and collaborate with other agencies such as MTO, Regional Police and OPP. 35-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1–2 year program in Law and Security or Police Foundations or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Enforce by-laws with other officers; conduct investigations and gather evidence.
• Testify in court and participate in community outreach and enforcement initiatives.
