Job summary

The City of Vaughan is seeking a Contract Building Permit Clerk to review and verify construction permit applications for completeness and accuracy. You will populate the AMANDA system and assist with related documentation, invoicing, and resubmissions.

You will also provide frontline customer service at the counter, on the phone, and via email, guiding applicants and addressing inquiries with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Three year college diploma or university degree in Civil/Architectural Technology.
• Municipal experience, or equivalent, with public interactions.
• Knowledge of Building Code Act and Regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify construction permit applications for completeness.
• Populate AMANDA management system and assist with invoicing and submissions.
• Provide front line customer service for permit inquiries and status updates.
