Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist I for Canmore General Hospital and Banff Hospital Labs. The role covers day, evening, night shifts and on call, with on-site sleeping accommodations for on-call shifts where available.

Responsibilities include processing, testing and reporting diagnostic samples with routine and specialized procedures, under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. Comprehensive lab services are provided across the Bow Valley.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
• At least 1 year experience in Hematology and Chemistry within the last 5 years; phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples.
• Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
