Job summary

Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre is seeking an exceptional Post Basic ECE educator to build a stable, long-term relationship with a family in West Vancouver. The role combines education and caregiving to support a young child’s growth in a private-home setting.

Qualifications

Post Basic ECE credential required.
Experience in early childhood education preferred.
Ability to work in a private home setting and weekday commuting.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate one-on-one care for a 21-month-old.
Plan daily activities supporting language, cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative development.
Encourage independence, curiosity, and age-appropriate life skills.
Incorporate learning through play, reading, music, art, and outdoor exploration.
Support multilingual language development.
Observe progress and adapt activities to the child’s learning style.
Establish consistent routines and warm boundaries.
Plan age-appropriate educational activities and outings.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding development and daily activities.
Collaborate with family to provide a consistent and enriching environment.
