Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. in Ontario is hiring a Grinding Set Up Operator for full-time employment in a climate-controlled production environment. You will set up production processes, operate CNC or manual equipment, and ensure quality through inspections and data recording.

Applicants should have a Grade 12 diploma and demonstrated competency as a Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background. Opportunities for advancement and benefits are included.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, including CNC or manually controlled equipment.
• Perform problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment.
• Follow and accurately record data in routers, IMS and production tracking systems.
• Train other operators as needed.
• Read and interpret production prints.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in all areas.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.

• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
• Required to train other operators as needed.
• May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
• Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
