Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. is seeking a dedicated Grinding Set Up Operator to join our Ontario facility. You will set up and operate production processes, including CNC or manual equipment, and perform on-the-spot troubleshooting to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

You will read production prints, record data in routers and IMS, and may train other operators. This is a full-time role with competitive wages and benefits, located at our Stratford-area plant in Canada.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 diploma.
• Experience as Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.
• Perform problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and to inspect own work using precision measuring equipment.
• Follow and accurately record data as directed in routers, IMS and production tracking systems.
• May be required to train other operators as needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

• May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
• Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
