Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support maintenance and TPM in an aerospace production environment in Stratford, Ontario.

The role requires a valid 433A Millwright license or apprenticeship in trade and involves data entry, adherence to work instructions, and contributing to capital projects. You will help optimize processes, support cost reductions, and collaborate with Process Engineering and Quality teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic trade certificate or apprenticeship in T&D at SCI.
• Holds a valid 433A Millwright License.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work instructions and work specifications.
• Collect, record, document and enter all data as required.
• Support work within established constraints for capital expenditure projects (scope, time, cost).
• Support completion of TPM work orders for appropriate actions and timing.
• Drive Technical Improvement activities as prioritized by production management and defined by Process Engineering (scrap, efficiency, utilization, quality, cost, cycle time).
• Support small step improvements related to quality, cost, logistics and motivation.
• Participate in process troubleshooting.
• Reduce direct expenses by standardizing and optimizing tooling and machine components.
• Support the optimization of machine parameters as required.
• Support Quality department efforts related to customer concerns.
• Support development of standard practices for similar processes.
• Actively participate in capital expansion projects (launches).
• Support efforts related to workshops (5S, Setup, TPM), CIP, product quality, scrap reduction and productivity.
