Job Description

About Dig and Connect

Dig and Connect is an independent, accredited multi-utility provider delivering turnkey utility connections across water, electricity, gas and civils. As a growing business working with developers, contractors and network operators nationwide, we specialise in managing projects that combine multiple utilities under one provider, streamlining delivery, reducing costs and saving time. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our team and help drive the next stage of our growth. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in water infrastructure and civils, to complement our existing team and bring added depth to our in-house capability.

Visit www.digandconnect.co.uk for more about what we do.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery of multi-utility projects,

ensuring they are completed on time, to budget and to regulatory standards. You will manage schemes covering electrical, water, gas and civil works, leading coordination between stakeholders, managing contractors, and overseeing operational planning on site. This role suits someone who is confident working independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of shaping how projects are delivered in a growing utility business.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Compliance

- Manage health, safety, quality and compliance across all sites, ensuring alignment with WIRS, NERS and GIRS standards.

- Lead the planning and delivery of multi-utility works, including jointing, excavation, reinstatement, and installation of substations and gas PRIs.

- Coordinate network connections, liaising with DNOs, IDNOs, IGTs and water companies.

- Monitor progress and performance, identifying risks and resolving issues to keep projects on track.

Operational & Programme Management

- Create and maintain project schedules, work plans and resource allocation.

- Oversee procurement of materials, plant and specialist equipment.

- Prepare RAMS and daily or weekly work schedules for internal and subcontractor teams.

- Manage utility drawings and required documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder & Client Liaison

- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and network operators throughout the project.

- Attend and lead project meetings with stakeholders to ensure expectations and deadlines are aligned.

- Ensure all project agreements, permits and regulatory documentation are in place.

What We’re Looking For

- Proven track record managing multi-utility projects across water, electric, gas and civils.

- Experience delivering WIRS-accredited water infrastructure projects is essential.

- Background in working for a Self-Lay Provider (SLP) or Independent Connection Provider (ICP).

- Familiar with civils works, excavation/reinstatement, cable and pipe laying, and substation builds.

- In-depth knowledge of NERS, WIRS and GIRS regulations and standards.

- Skilled in leading site-based teams and managing subcontractors.

- Experience in budget control, procurement and contract management.

- Strong IT skills including MS Office and project management tools.

- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to lead delivery without close supervision.

What We Offer

- Competitive salary and benefits package depending on experience.

- Role in shaping project delivery processes within a growing utility provider.

- Varied projects across multiple sectors with real responsibility and progression opportunities.

- Supportive and collaborative team environment.
