Within the Wind River Cloud team, we work with large-scale projects like Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, and open-source technologies in high demand. We are also leading contributors to the StarlingX project, managing infrastructure for highly distributed Edge solutions such as 5G, autonomous vehicles, and industrial automation.

The ideal candidate will possess proven software engineering skills, be versatile, and thrive in a dynamic environment. Maturity, judgment, and leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Work on open-source projects like Kubernetes, Helm, OpenStack, Ansible, etc.
  • Contribute to containerization and fault-tolerant development.
  • Participate in the StarlingX project under the OpenStack Foundation.
  • Develop and deliver platform upgrade features.
  • Investigate and resolve issues during product verification and customer integration.
  • Engage in all phases of agile software development.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of Python programming experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in system architecture and design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in building infrastructure software for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience with software upgrade frameworks.
  • Proven track record of delivering mission-critical, 24x7 systems.
  • Experience with Ansible, Puppet, SQL, and Go.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • Strong ownership, urgency, analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
