ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

At Wind River, we use analytics tools such as Elasticsearch and Kibana to accelerate the development of solutions that allow our customers to visualize their networks and act on issues. We have adopted these technologies into Wind River Cloud Analytics. The growth of this product drives us to find experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these analytics solutions.

The right candidate will possess proven software engineering skills. You are expected to be versatile and thrive in a dynamic environment. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and can bring order to ambiguous scenarios. Maturity, impeccable judgment, and the ability to influence and lead are essential to success in this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Analytics features with high-quality design and code.
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
  • Work as part of a team focused on building world-class analytics solutions.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile development.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Overall 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with Python.
  • 3+ years working directly with the ELK stack.
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Experience with containers and cloud-based technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes(k8s), and Helm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six or more years of professional experience building infrastructure software for highly scalable and distributed systems.
  • Track record of building and delivering mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems.
  • Expertise in Python, Kubernetes, and the ELK stack
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is $129,000 to $175,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $147,000 to $200,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
