Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations at UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC, within the Medical Resonance Imaging team. The role includes data entry in RIS, patient preparation, operation of MRI equipment, and monitoring patients and equipment, with potential evening or weekend shifts.

Applicants must hold CAMRT MRI certification, CPR/BCLS, and have related experience; pediatric experience at BC Children's Hospital is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification with CAMRT for MRI.
• Completion of IV Therapy training where site requires it.
• Two years pediatric MRI experience preferred at BC Children's Hospital site.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations per departmental policy.
• Enter requisitions and data into RIS.
• Prepare examination trays and patients for procedures.
• Operate MRI equipment and archive data.
• Monitor patients during procedures and equipment performance.
• Potential for evening, night or weekend shifts.
