Job Description

Title: MRB / MAP Liaison – Design Engineer

Location: Montreal Hybrid (3 days a week in office) + ability to be in Mirabel (North Shore)

Night Shift: 1pm to 10 pm or 2 pm to 11pm

Job description:

As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will build/develop dispositions for non-conformance material, parts, assemblies, and systems.

Key responsibilities:

1. Investigate non-conformances reported by quality group.
2. Evaluate manufacturing deviations and their effects within the assembly.
3. Create engineering dispositions, supported by drawings/sketches and company/international standards.
4. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Collaborate closely with Engineering Specialists such as Stress, M&P, and Aerodynamics.
6. Work with production and support groups (Methods/manufacturing, Quality, Logistics) to resolve operational or engineering issues on aircraft.
7. Share information and collaborate between sites to ensure technical knowledge sharing.
8. Coordinate with other MAP offices (Spain, Mexico, India) to meet client requirements.
9. Mentor new MRB candidates through on-the-job training.

Required Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of five (5) years MRB/MAP experience in commercial/business aircraft OR eight (8) years design experience in aerospace.
3. Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge of mechanics of materials, stress analysis, and composite materials.
6. Desire and ability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after on-the-job training.
7. Knowledge in aircraft structures design or stress analysis (Airframe).
8. Extensive experience with CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
9. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
10. Proficiency in English (written and spoken); bilingual in French and English is an asset.
11. Excellent communication and social skills, high dedication, and responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
12. Proficient in MS Office.
