Job summary

Platinum Pro-Claim Restoration is hiring a Mover to support move-ins/move-outs and on-site cleaning across homes and job sites in the Metro Vancouver area. The role involves packing, moving, and handling contents affected by fire, flood, or disasters, with on-the-job cleaning training provided.

The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, can pass a background check, and holds a BC driver’s license. Competitive benefits and a team-focused environment are offered.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Previous work in restoration, cleaning or moving is an asset.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to lift 50–100 lbs.
  • Comfort with basic technology (cell phone and email).
  • Ability to work overtime and be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
  • Able to stand for extended periods (around 8 hours).

Responsibilities

  • Complete move-in and move-out activities.
  • Clean and maintain all floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Empty recycling and garbage bins as needed.
  • Service, clean, and restock washrooms.
  • Occasionally perform interior window cleaning.
  • Keep office facilities and job sites clean.
  • Measure and apply cleaning agents as required.
  • Assist with contents packing, unpacking, and pack-back for clients.
  • Record time daily on ADP and update job notes as needed.
  • Use project software Restorify for job management.

The main focus of the position will focus in moving-related activities, but will also help out in other areas of Contents from time-to-time. The ideal candidate will assist in the packing, moving, and storage of furniture and personal belongings for clients whose properties have been affected by fire, flood, or other disasters. Part of the job responsibility is to be able to maintain housekeeping and performing utilizing cleaning techniques that will be trained on the job when required.
